Had a great experience with Mel Auto Care Geelong last week. Brought my car in for RWC inspection and they didn't disappoint! Checked all parts for wear and tear to make sure my car is ready and safe to use, gave me a reasonable price which is mostly uncommon for other shops. Owner and team were very honest, accommodating and respectful at the same time. Truly one for the ages! 100% recommended!

We went to Geelong because my wife had to attend university. Since my car was almost due for a service, I decided to look for a service centre the day before we left and found “Mel AutoCare,” where I made a booking.

Usually, when you take your car to a service centre, they ask you to leave the car and come back once it’s done. However, since I’m not from the area and live about 100 km away, I didn’t have anywhere else to go. So I asked if it would be alright for me to stay while the car was being serviced.

They said it was alright for me to stay. I felt a bit embarrassed staying there, as it might have seemed like I was being a meticulous customer, but the truth is, I just didn’t have anywhere else to go😅😅.

All of the mechanics, including the boss, were very kind and polite. Even while working alongside the boss, they didn’t seem pressured or stressed , they all looked comfortable and confident in what they were doing. They treated each other not just as co-workers, but more like family. They even had lunch together, which created a really positive and friendly atmosphere. For me, seeing a business owner who has a good relationship with their employees leaves a very positive impression.

After inspecting my car, they explained which parts needed to be replaced. They didn’t pressure me at all ,instead, they asked for my permission before doing any work.

We’re planning to move to Geelong, and once we’re living there, I’ll definitely come back here to have my car serviced.🙂🙂

Superb service, the staff are very approachable, friendly and professional. They accommodate and provide a very high quality of service to all customer either new or regulars, they are equally nice to all. They will also look after the car as they would look after their own. Whether your car is old or new, they will look after them with a lot of care. In terms of fixing the car, they are very skillful and explain everything that is what needs to be done. They will give the customer the option on what urgent needs to be done and consult if they want to go through. Of course, they are also concern about the safety of the clients and that is why they are transparent and straight forward with mandatory maintenance or priority fix. In terms of payment, customer can always talk to staff, and they negotiate a very reasonable price. They are never a rip off and every cents are worth of their service. Hands down the best mechanic I’ve ever been to! Sir Ed took amazing care of my car, diagnosed the issue quickly, and had it fixed in no time. Super honest, fair pricing, and excellent customer service.

What I really appreciate is how well he explains everything. Even as someone who doesn’t know much about cars, he breaks things down in a way that actually makes sense. He walks me through what’s wrong, why it needs to be fixed, and how it all works, so I actually understand what’s going on. He’s incredibly honest and transparent about the work he does. He gave me a detailed list of what needs fixing, but never in a way that felt like he was trying to upsell me. Instead, he focuses on what’s practical and necessary for the driver, making sure everything is fair and reasonable.

Dealing with them was an absolutely amazing experience. I had my RWC done with MEL Auto. They don’t just fix and service your car, for the sake of their jobs, but put their heart and skill into every detail. I had my car serviced on Wednesday, 5th of Feb. I've never felt looked after while getting my car serviced. Stark contrast to the terrible treatment I got from the very dealership I bought my car from. Aside from doing their (Ed and his team at Mel Auto Care) job well, they also do it happily. Boss E and its hardworking crew lead by his chief mechanic Marvin delivered the most excelent service on my car plus roadworthy check..Fair price on an excelent product.
They explained to me well and understand need to be done on a fair pricing.
And their hospitality on customer was also superb (top quality Filipino hospitality).
